Hi, I’m Jae — a Lead Senior Software Engineer from Leeds. I mainly work with PHP (with a wealth of experience within the Laravel ecosystem both for projects and contributing to), JavaScript, and TypeScript. I also have a deep love for building reliable systems and clean, scalable code. Alongside software development, I love working on infrastructure and DevOps, making sure the things I build don’t just work, but work well under pressure.

With over a decade of experience, I’ve led teams, shipped products, and solved tough technical challenges — from architecting large-scale platforms to refining the small details that make apps a joy to use. Outside of tech, I’m a dad to two brilliant boys, husband, and a proud Yorkshireman. I’m currently open for freelance opportunities — whether you need a hands-on engineer, someone to help shape technical direction, or just an extra pair of senior hands on a project.
